Three disasters that I've heard of in the past few days. What is going on?
First of all, there was a Texas news helicopter that crashed and killed two of its crew.
A few days later, a California highway bridge, which was under construction, collapsed.
Now, today, a bridge, also under construction, collapsed into the Mississippi river, with an unknown number of injured (more updates have been released since the writing of this article, but are not really relevant to what I'm saying) as of this writing and a tractor-trailer on fire on the scene.
Okay, so the news helicopter was most likely an accident. But isn't it a bit of a coincidence that two bridges collapsed within a week of each other?
Update:
Here's a quote from an AP article about the Minneapolis bridge collapse:
Homeland Security Department spokesman Russ Knocke also said the collapse did not appear to be terrorism-related.
